Your Hands on Mine

single-channel video, colour, sound, 3D animation, FHD 1920x1080, 24fps, 04'00''

The work starts from trading gestures and the relation between hands, numbers, mathematical dimensions, and bodily measurement.

The work begins with a set of trading gestures, where a hand is not only a hand but also a sign, a unit, and a way of measuring relation. Numbers, mathematical dimensions, and bodily measurement are folded into a small choreography of touch.

In the video, the hand becomes both an instrument of calculation and a surface of contact. The animation moves between abstract systems and physical gesture, asking how a body learns to compare, count, and orient itself through another body.

Process notes

The work grows out of the overlap between trading gestures, finger counting, and the mathematical language of dimensions. Its images move between photographed hands, 3D animation, and the closely related Universe of Language version, keeping the same central question: how can a body become a measuring instrument, and how does one hand communicate value, distance, and relation through another hand?

The related Universe of Language stills keep this inquiry visible as a sequence of operative words and spatial tests: REALIZE, NEUTRALIZE, recursive rooms, floating arms, and bodies transformed into measuring signs. They are included here as process and variant images rather than as a separate work page, because the two versions share the same core construction with only small differences in framing and exhibition context.
